This position will assist IMC’s Program Management Office (PMO) on a Health and Human Services (HHS), Administration for Children and Families (ACF) cybersecurity and privacy program.

Location: Position is a hybrid role, requiring at least one day onsite in the Washington, D.C. area, with the balance of the week working remotely, based upon the direction and needs of the customer. 

Duties/Responsibilities: This position will include, but is not limited to, the following tasks:

  • Lead the preparation, review, revision, and maintenance of:
    • PMO documents to include deliverables such as status reports, performance dashboards, meeting minutes, project management plans, etc. 
    • Technical and cyber security documents including incident response plan, security assessment and authorization documentation (as applicable), software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation, authority to operate (ATO) documentation, etc. 
  • Produce templates, implementation guides, and end-user guides for capabilities.
  • Provide field, data definition, and data flow documentation and format technical publications from pamphlets, technical drawings, and consultations with technical personnel and other available resources. 
  • Make recommendations for improvement and proactively improve related business processes.
  • Create and adhere to documentation standards and guidelines. 
  • Maintain an up-to-date, internal documentation library for PMO and program documentation. 
  • Use multiple word processing and presentation tools such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
  • Apply concepts for technical writing based on engineering drawings, technical information from engineering documentation, consultations with engineers and subject matter experts, and other available sources. 
  • Other documentation duties, as assigned.

Basic Required Qualifications and Skills:  Note: These are mandatory items that all candidates must have when submitting an application to IMC for this position.   • Bachelor's degree in a computer discipline or management field from an accredited institution.
  • Five or more years of technical writing/editing experience within cybersecurity environments (10 or more years of experience if no degree). 
  • At start date, must possess professional technical writer certification; a 6-month grace period can be considered on a case-by-case basis. 
  • Possess the ability to work independently and create draft policies and templates based on requirements.
  • The ability to convert narrative text into a more readable form with better flow.
  • Use of terminology that both improves flow and makes sense to the reader.
  • Ability to understand and be able to interpret PMO and cyber security documents.
  • Expert-level skills in Microsoft Word and MS PowerPoint.
  • Expert in written communication, grammar, spelling, etc. 
  • Ability to produce a high number of contract deliverables.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent oral, written, and verbal communication skills. 
  • Pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a federal background investigation of Tier 2 Critical Non-Sensitive (Form SF 85P).

Desired Qualifications and Skills:  It is desirable that the candidate have the following qualifications:

  • Experience in HHS as a Government Employee or Contractor.
  • HHS ACF experience.
